Working at underground music juggernaut Boiler Room was exactly as you might imagine; free parties with unlimited guestlist access, opportunities to travel, intimidatingly knowledgeable musos and a staff age cap of about 33 years old. The company functionas almost solely on brand partnerships and I was working with Ray-Ban, their longest-standing affiliate, coming up with content solutions to promote the co-run shows. I worked with legends like Kerry Chandler, Bicep, Detroit Swindle, Honey Dijon and Jeremy Underground - and yes, I got some free shades.

Streaming success in Tokyo

It’s surprising how many DJs are just lovely, low-key, music aficionados that want people to have fun and make your life easy when running a show. Detroit Swindle were those kind of people.
